Muammar el-Qaddafi Killed

After decades of authoritarian rule, ex-Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi was reportedly killed in an assault on his hometown, Sirte. All around Libya, celebrations have erupted to mark the end of a long struggle to overthrow Qaddafi from power.

With the death of Qaddafi, what will Libya look like now? Will Qaddafi’s death begin an era of democracy and freedom for which Libyan citizens were fighting? Or will Libya collapse, as this Onion article seems to suggest?
